What you will do:
As an R&D Chemist on the Technology team you will focus on hands-on experimentation and testing of electrochemical cells. The majority of your time will be spent in the lab surrounded by other scientists who can provide guidance and support. We value potential and want to help you grow into a more independent role over time. In this role you will:
- Assemble and test electrochemical cells
- Analyze cell behavior and critically evaluate components and process conditions
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrochemical test stands and lab-scale equipment
- Prepare and present experimental results clearly and concisely to other team members
- Support general lab operations and other duties as needed
What we need you to bring to the team:
- A Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field
- At least 1 year of experience working in a chemical laboratory; ideally working with fuel cell, electrolyzer, or flow battery technologies
- The ability to troubleshoot equipment and experiments to ensure proper functionality
- The ability to adapt quickly to changing processes and responsibilities
- The ability to work independently with support and advice from the R&D team; you’re not afraid to fail and learn from your mistakes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to share results and give/receive feedback

Compensation:
- The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $60,000- $90,000 annually and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
