What you’ll do
- Execute daily inspections for receiving, in process and final inspections which may include, but not limited to, electrical components, electronic assemblies, and PCBs for defects or deviations from design specifications
- Accurately and clearly document defects or nonconformances and collaborate with engineering or manufacturing teams to resolve issues
- Review completed manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with Archer requirements
- Review and provide input for the establishment of an aircraft inspection plan which can include inspection and testing of harnesses
- Assist in the planning and process for company inspection which may include FAA conformity inspection to support the certification process
- Support the development and roll out of Advanced Product Quality Planning techniques such as PFMEAs, control plans and SPC
What you need
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Certified or ability to certify to IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620
- 5+ years’ hands on experience using basic inspection tools such as microscopes, thread gauges, pin gauges, micrometers, calipers, height master and height gauge
- Experience with tolerance and drawing reviews including assessing the ability to verify dimensional requirements
- Ability to read and interpret quality control specifications, blueprint drawings and engineering specifications including mechanical and electrical symbols and conventions, key, critical, major and minor characteristics
- Experience completing AS9102 compliant first article inspections with working knowledge of the tools required for inspection
- Experience with MES systems such as SAP and utilizing electronic inspection plans
- Understanding types of measurement, measurement terminology and the different types of measurement scales
- Understanding the difference between accuracy and precision and be able to select the appropriate measuring tools and techniques
- Have basic calibration knowledge
- Ability to identify/recognize inspection errors and nonconformances and initiate corrective action
- Understanding sample size requirements for lots and pulling random samples
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment in aerospace or other highly regulated environments
- Ability to work within a team environment
Bonus Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Quality Assurance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
- Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and understanding the x, y, z coordinate system

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $29.03 - $32.26. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
