Job Summary |
A quality engineer is responsible for the generation of a strategic plan to improve the business processes and increase production output. Duties include creating the company's quality standards and testing systems to reflect efficiency, reliability, and performance. Quality engineers are also responsible for the creation of documentation that reports issues and errors relating to the production process with efforts placed to find a solution. Specific in this position will be to document and control all relevant QMS requirements. |

Qualifications - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Demonstrated project management skills. • High proficiency in computer technology and systems operations. Prior experience in designing document control systems and architecture. • APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) experience. • 8D or similar method problem solving experience. • Manufacturing/assembly process experience. • Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plans in order to define processes. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Good electronic communication software skills (MS Office, Minitab, email, etc.). • 6 Sigma greenbelt or blackbelt desired. • Serve as an advanced subject matter expert on Document Control per ISO9001/IATF16949 standards.

Education And/Or Experience |
Engineering, Quality, Business, or Technical Bachelor-Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment. |
Language, Mathematical, And/OR Reasoning Ability |
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment.
