Quality Engineer - Battery Assembly

What success will look like for you as a Battery Assembly Quality Engineer?

As a Battery Assembly Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for playing a fundamental part in guaranteeing the rigorous standards we set are met and surpassed within our battery manufacturing facility. It is imperative that this position is occupied by an individual who possesses an unwavering passion for manufacturing and an unquenchable thirst for tackling the most complex of problems.

This role requires a natural influencer and collaborator. Among others, you will collaborate with the Energy Storage team on the creation of documented information, and controlling processes to support working activities (e.g. manufacturing processes, SOP’s, forms). You will frequently utlise quality tools (APQP, FMEA (D/P), control plans, FAIRs, process flows, cost of quality) and develop control plans and supporting inspection procedures, in accordance with APQP requirement(s). You will report directly to the Head of Quality and be a key member of the Battery team, supporting the continued development of our in-house expertise, specialist knowledge, and capabilities.

What would we like you to bring.

We want you to be successful in your role, to achieve this, we are looking for:

• At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance/control and around 5 years working within a defined quality management system.
• Exceptional skills/knowledge of manufacturing processes, although we're very open as to what manufacturing background you are coming from. 
• Strong working knowledge of the assembly of electrical systems (preferably experience with hazardous voltage) would be highly advantageous
• Ideally, you will be a lead auditor trained in an ISO standard (9100/16949/9001)
