QA Analytical Chemist

The Role:

The Quality Assurance Analytical Chemist will conduct and lead the analytical tests to support and monitor the fermentation process and Meati products to ensure consistency and product quality. As a member of the operations team, the Quality Assurance Analytical Chemist will work closely with all aspects of our manufacturing organization. He/she will document analytical tests andtechnical files associated with quality, and will be essential to the successful management of QA practices.

Job Responsibilities:

• Measurement of in-process samples to support fermentation operation and manufacturing
• Utilization of analytical chemistry equipment such as HPLCs and ICP-OES instruments
• Adhere to GMPs and follow company SOPs for all established analytical methods
• Train and coordinate QA technicians to process samples accordingly
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical equipment
• Documentation and record keeping must be maintained and a high attention detail is expected.
• Calibration of laboratory analytical instrumentation.
• Coordinates with operations team the collection, testing and measurement of in-process and finished goods in accordance with the requirements of Meati procedures
• Conducts and/or monitors in-process and finished goods product
• Executes daily QA measurements/tests and documents control points via prescribed methodology and documentation
• Implements environmental testing program for facility
• Conducts finished goods testing
• Analytical testing of in-process samples to support production
• Verification and validation of equipment processes and sanitary operation

Job Requirements:

• Minimum one year operating and maintaining an HPLC in an academic or industrial setting
• Ability to manage multiple workflows and experiments
• Ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams
• Interpretation and communication of results in cross-functional teams
• Must be a self-starter, motivated and able to adapt to the demands of a fast growing company

Compensation:

$65,000
