The GMP Project Manager will be responsible for managing a complex portfolio of projects within a matrix Manufacturing Engineering organization to ensure product, process & facility readiness to launch new products across Lucid’s Global projects. The Project Manager will work closely with Global Construction, Vehicle Integration, Design Engineering, Logistics, Core and Global Manufacturing Engineering functions and other cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless introduction of new plants, facilities, products and changes. The applicant must be an enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly autonomous individual happy to operate in a maturing function and willing to help the team’s direction in the pursuit of success.

You Will:

  • Support standardized methodologies and procedures for pre-release testing, trialing, and validating of new products.
  • Develop & own pre-series Launch Plans and define/measure cross functional success metrics. Where necessary, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies including all reporting.
  • Coordinate interdependent tasks and deliverables with other groups across the Lucid Motors company, including Construction, Engineering, Design Studio, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning, Process and Sustaining Engineering
  • Work closely with global construction teams to drive DTC solutions and resolutions to improve/avoid known issues on Global factory design. Ensure entitlement exists in the vehicle design/assembly to allow achievement of Manufacturing metrics linked to Safety, Quality and Cost.
  • Work with affected teams to understand the critical actions necessary for successful introduction of new features, capabilities, and products, and ensure those needs will be met ahead of deployment within Lucid Motors’ global projects
  • Coordinate resources, provide clear direction and timelines for deliverables, and delegate tasks across the core and regional Manufacturing Engineering teams in order to deliver Global Project commitments
  • Support management in achieving the Lucid Motors Model Plant strategy, deploying the standards across the organization, deploying process and reporting to measure the outcomes.
  • Contribute to the GMP PMO function in terms of project control methodology and operations.
  • Own the Master Site planning, drawing standards both 2d & 3d including BIM and digital twin work packages.
  • With strong visual & communication skills, maintain and report on project timelines and ensure project milestones and related activities are fully met. Lead all senior reporting of Manufacturing program status
  • Ensure alignment between all individual contributors, internally and at Suppliers, and lead project status report reviews.
  • Develop & document Lucid Motor’s Global process and standardize its use across multiple global sites
  • You Bring:

  • BS in engineering is required; advanced degrees, Masters or PhD, are preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in automotive industry is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record as Project Manager within the Automotive industry
  • Experience in setting up automotive greenfield projects is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office tools (MS-Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven ability to communicate at all levels within an engineering organization
  • Creative, energetic, self-motivated and highly organized
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced office and plant floor environment, and ability to meet critical deadlines with an eye for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Critical management skills with a high level of initiative and sound judgement
  • Practical understanding of product development processes
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Willingness to travel between 25-50% of the time
