The Project Controls Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a full Earned Value Management (EVM) project plan, coordinating with cross-functional teams, analysing and reporting, and ensuring timely completion of project reporting and analysis deliverables in compliance with contractual agreements. Working closely with project managers, contractors, suppliers, engineers, customers, and other stakeholders, this position requires expertise in project controls, financial and time analysis, and a deep understanding of Earned Value Management principles.
Key Responsibilities
1. EVM System Implementation:
· Develop, implement, and maintain an effective Earned Value Management System (EVMS) for projects.
· Ensure compliance with the Principal’s requirements, EVM standards, guidelines, and industry best practices.
· Train project teams on EVM principles and procedures as required.
2. Performance Measurement:
· Establish and manage performance measurement baselines for projects.
· Implement EVM techniques to measure project performance against planned objectives.
· Monitor and analyse cost and schedule variances, providing insights into project health.
3. Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR):
· Conduct Integrated Baseline Reviews to validate the integrity of project baselines.
· Collaborate with project teams to address findings and ensure alignment with EVMS standards.
· Maintain documentation and records related to IBRs.
4. Risk Management and Mitigation:
· Identify, assess, and monitor project risks through the lens of EVM.
· Develop risk mitigation strategies specific to cost and schedule impacts.
· Regularly review risk assessments and update mitigation plans as necessary.
5. Change Control and Impact Analysis:
· Implement change control processes within the EVM framework.
· Assess the impact of changes on project cost and schedule performance.
· Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate incorporation of changes into the EVMS.
6. Reporting and Analysis:
· Generate regular EVM reports for project stakeholders and senior management.
· Provide in-depth analysis of EVM data, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
· Conduct variance analysis and prepare variance reports.
What you will bring to Fluence
· Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
· Extensive experience in project planning and controls with a focus on Earned Value Management.
· Proficiency in EVM tools and software.
· Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional Certifications (desired)
· Earned Value Professional (EVP) is a strong preference.
Languages
Fluent in English required.
Travel
The role will include domestic travel and may include some regional travel to project sites or customer locations.
