Join the power movement as Production Supervisor
We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated Production Supervisor to join Commonwealth Fusion Systems. The Production Supervisor role will be responsible for leading our high performing team consisting of a multitude of different technician and welding skill sets. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience, exceptional people skills, and a passion for always improving. They’ll be working cross functionally with other internal members to develop and manage production team members.
* This shift covers Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 6:00pm - 6:00am
* Shift Differential for weekend, second shift - 30%

This team member will:
Hire & supervise a team of Production technicians and welders to build electromechanical parts and assembliesExecute on production plans, priorities, and schedules provided by manufacturing management and planningOrganize daily task lists and workflow by assigning responsibilities to the proper people Lead cross-functional daily stand-up meetings with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery. Write daily updates and quality reports Establish safety plans and protocols (working closely with EHSS) and work area cleanliness standards and ensure they are met by all technicians Run training programs for key team skill sets & processesManage and approve timecards and perform biannual reviews for all direct reports. Manage personnel issues in partnership with Human ResourcesPerform R&D and prototype hardware builds with minimal documentation and oversightPerform production hardware builds according to procedures, specifications, and test instructionsTroubleshoot and resolve manufacturing discrepancies with a focus on continuous improvementThe ideal candidate will have most, if not all, of these requirements:
High school diploma/equivalency certificate or higherMinimum of 5 years’ experience in a formal leadership role in a manufacturing setting Minimum of 10 years’ experience with a variety of technical skills such as, but not limited to, mechanical and electrical assembly, plumbing, vacuum systems, cryogenic systems, soldering, and wiringDemonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical and electrical drawings, manuals, and reports. Experience navigating assemblies in 3D CAD software is a plusProficiency with MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and VisioCommitment to safety and quality with the ability to communicate this to your teamStrong level of accountability for yourself and your teamAbility to take directions from managers and work independentlyDesire to work and contribute in a fast-paced, environment with daily changesExcellent communication (written and verbal) to your team, articulating in a leadership mannerMeticulous attention to detail and cleanliness with hands-on work Ability and patience to work through projects from start to finish, including assembly and testingAdditional experience and/or qualifications:
