Beyond Meat seeks a detail-oriented purchaser to join our team. As a purchaser, you not only keep track of inventory, anticipate demand, and place purchase orders to ensure production continuity, but also serves as a subject matter expert.
A successful candidate in this role can analyze the Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) to drive the placing of purchases to maintain suitable stock levels. They are also proficient in communicating timelines and are constantly looking to learn and improve their processes and forecasts.

TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Uses MRP, ERP transactions (NetSuite & Solo chain), Excel and Google docs to plan and ensure material availability for the demand without over capitalizing on materials. Collaborates with the production planner to drive the material plan to achieve production commitments and delivery objectives. Builds and maintains relationships with suppliers. Proactively manages order delivery dates, ensuring timelines are up to date in the ERP, and communicating any changes to the plan. Implements and measures vendor compliance of purchase orders for root cause analysis. Collaborates with R&D to manage trial requirements within the production schedule. Maintains ERP settings to drive system accuracy and reduce requirement for external data modeling. Completes special projects, as assigned. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience: Bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years of experience as a purchaserAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word. Advanced report writing experience, pivot table experience and data graphing a plusWorking knowledge of ERP inventory systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or JD Edwards)
