Position: Product Development Support Intern, St. Louis, MO

We are looking for a highly motivated intern to join our product development team. As a member of the Product Development Support Lab team, you will develop laboratory skills to perform various microbial testing and other related assays. You will have the opportunity to learn how a microbial product is developed and what questions needed to be answered to bring the product to the field. You will learn how to use various laboratory tools to operate in the lab with high efficiency and accuracy.  You will gain technical expertise by working with our scientists in the lab; learn how to design an experiment to represent real-world problems, execute experiments, collect data, interpret data, and improve designs and executions in iterate cycles to achieve desired outcome. You will also gain the opportunity to refine your communication and leadership skills through team interactions, data reporting and formal presentations.  You will have a specific project for the summer and will present the project to broader teams and leadership at the end of the internship.

  Responsibilities:

  • Work with teams to design lab experiments focusing on problems to solve.
  • Execute experiments under the level of supervision needed.
  • Record, organize and report data
  • Support lab operation needs by maintaining equipment, lab organization, lab safety, etc.

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or higher degree in Biology, and/or related field
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to self-manage time and execute on assigned responsibilities
  • Ability to be on-site during the internship program.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
