Introduction

Do you want to be part of a global revolution in feed ingredients? We are looking for a Product Developer Animal Nutrition who is eager to contribute to the development and application of innovative insect-based ingredients within the animal nutrition industry.

In this role, you will combine your knowledge of animal nutrition with a hands-on mindset. You will contribute to research projects, support product development initiatives, and help translate scientific insights into practical solutions for pet food, aquafeed, and livestock applications.

In addition, you will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day activities, including coordinating sample requests, interpreting and sharing analytical results, and responding to technical and nutritional customer inquiries. In doing so, you will play a key role in connecting our Product Development activities with our commercial teams and customers.

What will your mission be?

As a Product Developer Animal Nutrition, you will be part of our Product Development team and play a key role in further developing and validating our insect-based ingredients. You will work closely with colleagues across Product Development, Business Development, Sales, Marketing, SHEQ, Operations, and external partners.

You will support research projects, generate valuable nutritional insights, and translate scientific knowledge into practical applications. Thanks to the broad scope of the role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and make a direct impact on Protix’s growth while contributing to a more sustainable food system.

What will be your responsibilities?

Support and coordinate nutritional research projects with both internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to the development, validation, and optimization of new products and nutritional concepts.
Analyze and interpret research results, translating findings into practical recommendations.
Conduct research and stay up to date with relevant developments and trends within the animal nutrition industry.
Support trial design, sample management, and project administration activities.
Provide technical and nutritional expertise to customers and commercial teams.
Prepare reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
Contribute to the further development of Protix’s nutritional knowledge base.
Be based at our office in ’s-Hertogenbosch while spending time each week at our production facility in Bergen op Zoom.

Who are you?

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Animal Nutrition, Applied Animal Sciences, or another relevant field within animal and nutritional sciences.
You have 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience.
You possess a solid foundation in animal nutrition and feed ingredients.
You have a hands-on mindset and can easily translate scientific theory into practical applications.
You are proactive, self-driven, and enjoy taking initiative.
You are a true go-getter who thrives in a broad and dynamic role.
You enjoy collaborating with others and can effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
You are proficient in both Dutch and English.
You are available to work full-time.
