What success will look like for you as a Principle Design Engineer
As a Principle Design Engineer, you'll be working with a world-class team of leading aerospace and technology thinkers, as well as some of the finest engineering talent within aerospace engineering. Of course, you will possess or be able to rapidly adopt a passion for sustainable aviation and its benefits for society and sustainability. Within the role, you'll be responsible for the technical leadership of a team of engineers working to create lightweight, certifiable optimised solutions to challenging requirements. You'll provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance that enables people to carry out designs of composite and metallic structures using the optimal design and manufacturing principles.
You will lead the creation and validation of methods, tools, and design principles that will be used to certify the aircraft and be responsible for ensuring that our partners and suppliers are using these harmonised approaches to create certifiable design solutions. You'll be integrating activities across the main structural technical functions, ensuring a fully integrated solution is delivered, and defining the airframe certification activities required in regard to V&V management and means of compliance.

We want you to be successful in your role, to achieve this, you will need to bring a blend of iQ and eQ and the ability to solve new problems in a fast-paced start-up environment. You'll need to show us a demonstrable track record of leadership of technical teams to ensure the delivery of exceptional technical leadership. You'll need significant industry experience, preferably as an industry recognised expert in aerospace design, with the requisite technical skills to develop design processes and best design practices, with first-class knowledge of design principles, metrology, aerospace assembly, and manufacture. You will also have gained relevant technical signature rights.
