What success will look like for the Powertrain Systems Engineer

  • Perform stakeholder requirement capture, analysis and management
  • Perform optimisation activities for AC 2 solution and their architectures exploiting systems engineering tools and practices
  • Support the development of Powertrain Systems engineering strategy for AC 2
  • Support strategy for the Powertrain systems lifecycle from requirements to qualification (including integration, verification and validation activities)
  • Promote a consistent Systems engineering approach across the Powertrain team
  • Clearly define the role of Powertrain within the organisational structure - collaboration with Aircraft
  • Perform system and sub-system integration testing in collaboration with Powertrain IPTs
  • Failure analysis, identifying and mitigating failure modes and support risk reduction
  • Identifying key Powertrain performance factors
  • Define Verification & Validation approach to support AC 2 and certification/acceptance
  • Drafting technical reports to ensure information is effectively communicated with key stakeholders
  • Working in a multi-disciplinary role bridging the gap between the Powertrain IPT disciplines.
  • Determine schedule, cost and deadlines for test activities

  • Powertrain VCRM
  • Powertrain Requirements
  • Powertrain FHA / FTA / SSA
  • Support Powertrain Modelling
  • Powertrain IDD (Interface Description Document)
  • ATP and ATS (Procedure vs Specification)
  • Powertrain Commissioning/Build process overview

Our Ways of Working In the UK we have two offices and a Battery facility in Bristol, an office in London and a site in Kemble with well stocked free kitchen provisions including hot drinks, fruit and breakfasts every weekday. Our typical full time working week is 37.5 hours. We recognise the world of work is rapidly evolving and that 9-5 is no longer a fitting pattern for many.
