Join the Powertrain Team based in Bristol as a Powertrain Modelling Engineer and help us to achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation.
What success will look like for you, as a Powertrain Modelling Engineer?
As a Powertrain Modelling Engineer, you will play a key part for supporting the delivery of the powertrain performance model, and running analysis related to the performance of different architectures. This includes the development of component models such as Motor, Inverter, and power distribution components, as well as relevant control logic, in Matlab/Simulink/Simspace. We'll need you to contribute to the development of simulation tools and methodologies and, support validation and testing activities to verify the model accuracy and system performance. You would work closely with the Electric Power Unit and Battery Teams on a day to day basis
What would we like you to bring.
We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this, you will need to have proven experience developing mathematical models, a good understanding of power electronics, motor control and power distribution systems
as well as a proficiency in modelling and simulation tools, such as Matlab programming Simulink and Simscape modelling skills. A master’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace engineering, or related field is a must for this role.
