As a Post Producer, you have a deep understanding of all things related to post-production, as well as good understanding of production workflows.  You are solutions-focused, collaborative, and have excellent organization and communication skills. You exhibit a can-do attitude and approach your work with determination and flexibility.  You demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, ask questions and work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. You are someone who gets the big picture, has a command of streamlining projects, and identifies possible obstacles, you are proactive, always ahead of the game, while having a passion for the smallest details. 

In this role you will be working within the Brand Content business unit, collaborating cross functionally with various teams and departments at Lucid.  The Post Producer is an integral part in delivering brand content to the highest standards to help elevate Lucid’s brand DNA.

The Role

  • Manage the day-to-day and overall workflow of post-production for a wide range of projects ranging from, but not limited to: broadcast, social, digital, product launches, and retail content.
  • Oversee and supervise post-production workflow for editors, motion graphics, CGI & VFX as well as external post, VFX, and animation studios.  
  • Communicate with a cross-functional team such as product, engineering, interior, and exterior design to get appropriate information for 3D production.
  • Collaborate with the EP, Line Producers, Creative Leads, and Editors to develop the post-production timeline and post budgets, as well as work with marketing on aligning deliverables.
  • Monitor and quality control all work during the post-production process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, in the correct format, and with all stakeholders requests addressed.
  • Help establish proper editorial procedures and organizational standards such as server organization, review/delivery process, and archiving.   
  • Collaborate with EP on future localization workflows.
  • Work with Legal during different phases of the production to make sure all disclaimers and notes are addressed.
  • Assist in the organization of finished projects for archiving.
  • Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of previous experience working in either video post-production, VFX, motion graphics, or CGI/3D environments
  • Deep understanding of the workflows between editorial, motion graphics, CGI, color, mix, and VFX.Interpreting creative briefs and providing estimates
  • Understanding and awareness of how long things take in a post-production environment with an ability to speak to the process  This is helpful to that we can advocate, pivot, and accurately set timelines.  Strong command of project details, self-motivated and excellent multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Solid understanding of file formats.
  • Baseline understanding, interest, or experience in the automotive industry a plus.
  • The ability to be flexible and patient when inevitable hurdles present themselves.
  • The ability to work flexible hours if necessary at times. 
  • Broadcast specs and Media Encoder presets
  • An understanding of Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve
  • VFX pipeline knowledge
  • Rudimentary understanding of Flame, Fusion, and Nuke
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Frame.io and Smart Sheet
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro
