We are looking for a Plant Manager to lead our first Microfactory operations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build the Arrival Microfactory van operation and production team
  • Lead the operations and production teams to ensure customer requirements and production targets are met
  • Develop the Arrival Microfactory blueprint and technology in conjunction with Robofacturing and R&D teams
  • Create and achieve the roadmap to SOP whilst ensuring quality, delivery, and cost targets are hit
  • Minimize factory operational costs and waste where possible
  • Work closely with sustainability teams on a range of environmental targets
  • Work closely with supply chain and logistics to ensure timely and efficient goods in and final product out processes
  • Work closely with planning and forecasting to ensure a healthy build pipeline to match demand
  • Manage site budget and spend
  • Manage site Quality, H&S, Facilities, Maintenance and Logistical operations
  • Maintain and create factory-build timing using inputs from other business stakeholders
  • Create and maintain performance management, training matrices, and development plans for all Microfactory employees

  • Proven leadership experience in an industrial environment
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning & resource allocation)
  • Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills
