About the company:

Carbon Clean is the point-source carbon capture expert, driving the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate industries for more than 15 years. The company is eliminating the barriers of cost and space through its breakthrough modular CycloneCC technology, which cuts the total installed cost and overall physical footprint by up to 50% compared with conventional solutions. 

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes 

  • Piping and Layout design and optimisation of modular carbon capture units.  
  • Acting as Piping Lead on Detailed Design and Fabrication projects 
  • Developing engineering deliverables, such as; Plot Plans, 3D Layouts, Piping Stress Reports and Piping Material Specifications 
  • Support testing, installation and commissioning of carbon capture plants 
  • Overseeing design subcontractors and reviewing deliverables 
  • Active contribution to innovation and design improvement 
  • Travel to carbon capture and other industrial sites when required. 

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience 

To be successful in this role you should have a combination of the below knowledge, skills, and experience: 

 

  • B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering (M.Eng. preferred) 
  • Chartered Engineer, or working towards Chartership 
  • Must be familiar with working with a high level of autonomy  
  • Experience in Oil and Gas or Process Plant design 
  • Knowledge and experience of FEED, Detailed Design and Fabrication 
  • Familiar with industry design codes (ASME, EN, API, ISO etc.) and their application 
  • High technical fluency with excellent verbally and written communication in English 
  • Knowledge of modular design and construction 
  • Ability to work effectively in a small, developing, and entrepreneurial organisation  
  • Strong relationship building skills, especially across a multi-national team.
