Role:

  • Communicates, enforces, and monitors effective parts department processes 
  • Promotes and merchandises parts and accessories according to Lucid guidelines 
  • Maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes perpetual and annual inventories 
  • Be able to understand and act-to reports including but not limited to, P&L, obsolescence, and exception 
  • Responsible for initial parts department setup, process, procedures, systems …etc. regional wise.  
  • Monitor regional parts ordering, and maintain responsibility for solving delays or other issues as they arise 
  • Possible involvement in initial department design during construction phase 
  • May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays 
  • Must be able to travel  
  • Establish a parts department sales and operating budget
  • Ensure achievement of the Spare Parts Department target and objectives.
  • Preparation and execution of Business Plans for the Parts Departments by ensuring that these plans set operating and personnel costs and include forecasts of parts sales and management of direct costs.
  • Organize, direct, and manage the activities of all staff at the Spare Parts Departments to achieve financial goals via making optimal use of all materials, funds, and human resources.
  • Participate in preparation of all operational regulations and procedures by ensuring that all operations deliver results in a smooth and timely manner.
  • Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, and the walking customer.
  • Establish individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover to minimize obsolescence.
  • Set and enforce a policy on the special ordering of parts.
  • Ensure that stock orders are in line with Manufacture target orders and original spare parts.
  • Forecasts goals and objectives for the departments and strives to meet them.
  • Hires, trains, motivates, and monitors the performance of parts department individuals.
  • Strives for harmony and teamwork within the departments and with all other departments.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with local regulations that affect parts operations, such as hazardous waste disposal.
  • Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Fosters professional employee development and coordinates with department managers to determine need for advanced training.
  • Makes customer satisfaction a department priority, ensuring that parts personnel are courteous and respectful in their interaction with customers.
  • Handles customer complaints immediately and according to company guidelines.
  • Develops parts pricing plans and recommends to reporting manager.
  • Works with parts and service managers to find ways to improve the overall profitability of the company.
  • Maintains safe work environment.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferable business or logistics are fine. 
  • 5 years minimum experience in a parts department leadership role – high line preferred 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Financial knowledge
  • High level attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining high level of accuracy 
  • Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports 
  • Able to effectively work both individually and within a group in a high-paced environment 
  • Ability to use basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office as well as learn Smartsheet, SAP, Salesforce, and proprietary management system applications 
  • Must possess a valid driver license 
  • Advantageous: 
  • Knowledge of HV systems, LV systems, and EV powertrains 
  • Start-up experience and related fast-paced environments 
  • Previous OEM Parts training
