JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the packaging department where needed. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Develop and build the packaging lab at the pilot plant
- Assist with commissioning assistance at the Mega Ranch in Thornton, CO.
- Develop primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging across plant-based food products from concept to launch
- Research and stay updated on innovative sustainable packaging materials
- Develop pallet patterns using TOPS palletization system
- Coordinate ship tests to ensure dry ice stays frozen in direct-to-consumer shipments
- Improve the customer/packaging interactions for direct-to-consumer shipments
- Help build and populate the Meati specification system
QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled in a packaging program or like field with an understanding of basic packaging materials
- Understanding of packaging specifications
- Proficient in Microsoft programs; word, excel, and powerpoint
- Required skills: detail oriented, workload management, strong communication, problem solving
COMPENSATION: $20/hour. Full time schedule for a period of 6 months (early July to mid-December 2022).
