NPI Program Manager

Core Functions:   Program management for manufacturing NPI and production sustainment activities at contract manufactures including project planning, schedule development, risk mitigation and issue resolution, and onsite prototype build oversight, material readiness and planning.

Specific Areas of Focus:  Material management and tracking for NPI and sustaining projects, including risk buys as appropriate, supporting contract manufacturers through the change management process during NPI/sustaining projects, feeding design and process improvements back to the development team, managing process documentation and supporting the quality team throughout the project lifecycle.

Role & Team Responsibilities:

• Program management of projects and activities for manufacturing NPI at CM’s.

• Deployment and coordination of design and process changes in sustainment and contract manufacturing.

• Support Quality Team to implement resolution / corrective actions into supply chain.

• Support NPI build execution with CM’s onsite and at vendor sites.

• Manage process documentation updates throughout sustainment (work instructions, BOM updates, etc.)

• Drive continuous process improvements and DFM solutions throughout sustainment.

• Input into DFM opportunities during design development NPI.

• Support manufacturing test deployments.

• Implementation of creative manufacturing process solutions to resolve issues seen through sustainment.

• Appropriate training and coordination with CM’s to implement changes into production.

• Communication on status of process and/or design change implementation.

About You

Required Qualifications

We are seeking an NPI Program Manager who has:

• 2-4 years of well-rounded experience in Procurement, Project Management, or NPI

• BA or BS in engineering, supply chain management, or equivalent experience

• Self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and problem solve

• Advanced experience in spreadsheets and similar analysis/planning tools

• Possess knowledge and experience across multiple functions within procurement and manufacturing

Bonus Qualifications

We would love to hire someone who has:

• Experience working at a startup and in new product launch environments

• Background with product lifecycle management and MRP/ERP systems (Oracle, SAP)

• Background with PLM software (Arena, Agile)
