CFS is seeking a highly motivated NDT level I technician to assist level II technicians in inspection and test activities for the SPARC project. You will help perform daily inspections on weldments and soldered structures to support manufacturing operations. This individual will be primarily responsible for monitoring a safety boundary during routine x-ray operations, and for helping set up and break down x-ray equipment as required. This team member will:
Assist NDT level II staff in carrying out in-process inspection of weldments and soldered structures using radiography (x-ray,) visual, penetrant and other non-destructive techniquesAssist NDT level II staff in preparing and document detailed inspection reports and nonconformances as neededAssist NDT level II staff in equipment setup and maintenanceSet up and maintain a safety boundary during x-ray operations on the factory floorInterface with technicians on issues related to quality and help them in understanding and interpreting quality specifications and technical drawingsWork around x-ray radiation sources, wearing proper PPE and monitoring equipmentThe ideal candidate will have most, if not all, of these requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environmentGeneral computer knowledge (MS Office products, email, etc.)Willingness to learn and adapt to the changing needs of a businessA safety mindset and a willingness to speak up when needed to maintain a safe operationAdditional preferred experience and/or qualifications:
