Responsibilities

  • Build, manage and leverage axle and vehicle level MBS models
  • Work with the vehicle dynamics, vehicle performance and chassis teams to ensure a coordinated approach to modeling
  • Regularly create coherent and informative reports and communicate findings across various levels of the business
  • Collate and manage data that will form the body of various technical specifications and standards
  • Work with the team to develop new methodologies to keep Rivian at the forefront of industry
  • Be an active participant in technical meetings to ensure the team is adequately represented
  • Work regularly with test functions as a reference for vehicle level loading

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 year experience in automotive product development
  • Working experience of the MSC Adams suite
  • Excellent basis in engineering first principles
  • Good understanding of vehicle dynamics fundamentals
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Understanding of the durability development process in an OEM setting
  • Proven problem solver
  • Working experience of nCode
  • Python scripting proficiency an asset
  • Working knowledge of other CAE Analysis toolsets (ABAQUS, Nastran, Optistruct) an asset
  • Degree Qualified in relevant engineering
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JAMA, JIRA) an asset
