As a key element in the cross-functional collaboration between MRB liaison, quality and manufacturing to meet regulatory requirements, the candidate’s role will be pivotal in maintaining the structural and functional integrity of our aircraft while supporting efficient production flow.
Position will be a full-time position at Beta production facilities in South Burlington, Vermont.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
Perform stress analysis of nonconformances of composite (and where required, metallic) parts and assemblies identified on the production lineReview Quality documentation and MRB Nonconformance Reports to determine the extent of defect and appropriate analysis approach to substantiate an engineering dispositionCommunicate NCRs clearly to Structures Stress team leads and request additional technical support when needed to ensure a flowing production lineCollaborate with MRB liaison, M&P, Manufacturing Engineering and other engineering departments for complex or out for scope deviations requiring technical discussionDemonstrate knowledge of standard repair procedures for typical nonconformance occurrencesCompile NCR Stress Reports documenting the nonconformance incident, stress substantiation, assessment results and demonstrate approval for acceptance or repairMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in either Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering5+ years of related professional Stress experienceExperience with Stress Analysis Reports or structural substantiationStrong understanding of Aircraft structures, design guidelines, composite and metallic failure modesExcellent communication skills to interface with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teamsSelf-starter and motivation to see solutions executed to completionAbove and Beyond Qualifications:
