Zoox is transforming mobility-as-a-service by developing a fully autonomous, purpose-built fleet designed for AI to drive and humans to enjoy.
In this job, you will be involved in the design and testing of motion planning & trajectory generation algorithms and software to continuously improve the capability of our autonomous driving system and enhance the safety and comfort of our driving behaviors. You will use extensive tooling, metrics, and pipelines to test and validate our algorithms and software across many different driving situations and analyze results to measure our system’s performance.
Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, 401k, and a housing stipend.
Technical Qualifications & Language Requirements
Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Robotics, Controls, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar fieldsSome coursework or extracurricular project experience in either robotics or controls. Examples could include path generation & motion planning/control for automotive, drones, or other physical moving systemsStrong C++ programming skills & experience with software developmentBonus qualifications: knowledge of numerical optimization methods
