We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer with high voltage wiring harness design experience to join our charging team. If you’re the kind of person who sees a problem, develops a solution, and engineers an improvement no one’s asked for yet, then we want to talk with you! 

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will help develop and commercialize state-of-the-art electric vehicle high voltage wiring system. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination.

  • Take ownership for parts of the charging systems, completing every aspect of component engineering development from concept to production
  • Create designs interactively with the electrical engineering team, vehicle packaging team and other product engineering inputs, updating designs accordingly
  • Integrate mechanical designs with high voltage electrical systems in a multidisciplinary environment 
  • Develop the Design for failure modes and effects analysis (DFMEA) and Design Verification Plan (DVP) for the HV harnesses.
  • Optimize mechanical designs for size, weight, durability, performance and cost 
  • Qualifications:

  • A flair for creative design engineering and problem-solving 
  • Strong 3D CAD skills, proficient with CATIA and CATIA Electrical 3D design modules
  • Hands-on practical experience with shop tools and prototyping 
  • Knowledge of wiring harness manufacturing processes such as striping, crimping, ultrasonic wielding, etc 
  • Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience with wire harness routing and packaging with OEM and/or tier 1/2 supplier
  • Experience in automotive high voltage wiring harness design and validation 
  • Experience with automotive engineering 
  • Experience with electronic control systems
  • Education:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree
