Position: MDM System Administrator
Preferred location: Remote
The IT department supports Pivot Bio and its employees by addressing day to day technical needs, spearheading company initiatives and formulating sophisticated solutions to complex business problems. As internal teams within Pivot continue to grow and expand, we expect that it will become increasingly important for us to expand the capabilities that we offer in regard to technical services and support.
We are looking for a MDM Systems Administrator to join the IT team and work in our IT Engineering team when it comes
Responsibilities:
- Lead administrator of MDM tools; helping with selecting our new MDM tool, implementing new tool
- Define and implement security policies/posture and standards for all mobile devices, desktops, laptops, etc.
- Create MDM controls for all users' groups and roles to manage installed applications and access.
- Audit and address fleet issues regarding systems not checking into MDM tools.
- Educate IT Support team on proper usage of MDM tools.
- Work with IT Support team to identify new use cases for MDM policies.
- Lead administrator for OS and third-party patching tools.
- Collaborate with IT Security Engineer for remediation of new vulnerabilities and outstanding issues.
- Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues
- Travel no more than 20%, normally much less
- Additional duties as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in technical administration of windows, MAC and IOS systems
- 2+ years of experience with enterprise grade MDM tools (Datto, Intune, Autopilot, JAMF, Apple Business Manager, etc.)
- Excellent communicator who can quickly connect with a range of stakeholders from academics to industry scientists, to project leads
- High standards for customer-facing work
- Active participant in highly function teams and departments
- Experience as a technical leader on technical projects which span several months & cross-functional teams
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience working in a growing startup environment, preferred
- Background or interest in agriculture and/or plant-microbe interactions, preferably in an industry setting, preferred
