About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and creative marketing professional to manage all owned and operated marketing channels and drive growth and awareness for the brand. This person will play an integral role in designing and executing marketing strategies across consumer touchpoints, with focus on social media, and cultivating an engaged community. This role will report to the Director of Marketing for Square Roots. 

You will: 

  • Oversee strategy development and management of all Square Roots owned marketing channels, working closely with Senior Communications and Content Manager to align messaging and content. 
  • Drive follower growth and engagement though developing best-in-class social programs and developing a content strategy and calendar in alignment with broader marketing priorities and audience goals. 
  • Responsible for developing and executing influencer and social co-promotions to drive trial and awareness for the brand.  
  • Execute day-to-day on social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter,  and monthly on company blog and newsletter. 
  • Responsible for briefing and collaborating with creative team members on all content and asset needs to support owned and operated program execution.
  • Responsible for consumer care, including community responses and ensuring timely, supportive engagement.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Square Roots brand and tone to ensure our voice is consistent across all touchpoints.

You have experience with:

  • Minimum of 3 years of marketing experience developing strategy and managing owned marketing channels for an agency or brand
  • Experience with multi-channel communications planning, using data to identify insights and build strategies.
  • Excellent knowledge of established and emerging social media channels, as well as best practices for creating and executing organic social campaigns
  • Experience with social media marketing and content platforms/tools (such as Sprout Social, MailChimp)
  • Experience with social media analytics, measurement, and reporting

  • Able to think strategically to reach overarching business objectives, balanced by strong detail orientation for successful execution.
  • Have a high degree of creativity with an eye for compelling content across a range of touchpoints.
  • Highly data-driven with continuous desire to improve performance.
  • Driven to constantly test ideas, analyze results, and iterate.
  • Able to  to prioritize and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment.

COVID-19 Vaccine Policy:

New employees are required to be fully vaccinated prior to their start date. The definition of fully vaccinated includes a booster for those that are eligible.

You are considered fully vaccinated if: 

  • You have received a full series of the vaccine recently (meaning 2 doses within 5 months for the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, or 1 dose within 2 months for Johnson and Johnson). 
  • You received your full series over 5 months ago for Pfizer and Moderna or over 2 months ago for Johnson and Johnson, and have also received a booster shot. 

Proof of vaccination is required during the hiring process, and employees will be required to get booster shots as they become eligible to maintain their fully-vaccinated status.  

As federal guidance on booster shots evolves, the definition of ‘fully vaccinated’ may change.  

In accordance with EEOC guidance, if you are not vaccinated or do not intend to be due to medical reasons or deeply held religious beliefs, you may make an accommodation request and Square Roots will make a reasonable effort to accommodate you, subject to the requirements of the role you are applying for. 

Failure to be fully vaccinated by start date without a documented accommodation will result in offer rescindment or termination.
