As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern
Interns in this pipeline may be considered for opportunities across a range of teams within the following teams:
Manufacturing Process Engineering: Assist in various manufacturing processes, focusing on line balancing. This includes setting up stations, providing training, and ensuring both product quality and production rate are met.
Manufacturing Systems Engineering: Support regular production tasks, provide process assistance to technicians, act as the first line of contact for resolving manufacturing systems issues on the floor, and learn about SAP MES and Ignition system development.
Logistics Engineering: Optimize warehouse operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, building best practices, and designing packaging to protect the product while minimizing cost.
Compensation:
The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level of education. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, and a housing stipend (relocation assistance will be offered based on eligibility).
Program Requirements:
Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or other advanced degree in a relevant engineering field.Plan to return to school after completing the internship.Maintain good academic standing.Available to commit to either a 12-week summer internship (May or June 2026 start). At least one prior industry internship, co-op, or relevant project experience.Willing and able to relocate to the Bay Area, California, for the duration of the internship.Interns may not use proprietary Zoox information in university theses, publications, or share it outside of Zoox.Role Qualifications:
Foundational understanding of manufacturing process optimization principles, including production, build sequencing, production workflows, task time analysis, and line layout.Ability to assist in developing and documenting work instructions and assembly procedures.Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems Ability to identify and understand logical relationships within databases and troubleshoot issuesStrong analytical, critical thinking, organization, and communication skillsBonus Qualifications:
