Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer specializing in End-of-Line (EOL) testing and Electrical Diagnosis to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality and reliability of our EV chassis as they roll off the production line.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop & Implement EOL Test Systems: Design, develop, and implement robust End-of-Line (EOL) electrical and functional test procedures and equipment for our EV trucks, including but not limited to:
    • Low Voltage and High Voltage electrical system validation
    • Battery system diagnostics and performance testing
    • Powertrain and motor system checks
    • ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) calibration and validation
    • Infotainment and connectivity system testing
    • Wiring harness integrity and continuity testing
    • Sensor calibration and verification
  • Electrical Diagnosis & Root Cause Analysis: Lead the electrical troubleshooting efforts for vehicles failing EOL tests. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, data analysis (telemetry, product, and diagnostic data), and a deep understanding of EV architecture to identify root causes of electrical anomalies and defects. Drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams (Product Design, Quality, Software, Production).
  • Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve manufacturing processes, test methodologies, and product designs to enhance first-time-through (FTT) rates, reduce rework, and optimize cycle times. Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive efficiency and quality improvements.
  • Tooling & Equipment Management: Collaborate with internal and external partners to specify, procure, install, and commission state-of-the-art EOL test equipment. Ensure equipment meets rigorous performance, reliability, and safety standards.
  • Diagnostic Content & Documentation: Develop and continuously improve diagnostic content, including test procedures, evaluation logic, automated scripts, and comprehensive technical documentation for manufacturing and service teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Design, Firmware, Quality, Production, and Service teams to ensure manufacturability, ease of diagnosis, and long-term reliability of our vehicles. Provide critical feedback for current and future vehicle programs.
  • Training & Mentorship: Train and mentor production technicians and other engineers on EOL test processes, electrical troubleshooting techniques, and diagnostic tools.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics to monitor fleet performance, identify trends, and proactively address potential issues before they impact production or customer experience.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive or EV industry, with a focus on End-of-Line testing and electrical diagnosis.
  • Proven experience with automotive diagnostic protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, DoIP, ODX, OTX).
  • Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools (e.g., Vector CANalyzer, CANoe) and EOL test authoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle electrical architectures, wiring diagrams, and complex circuit designs (both low and high voltage systems).
  • Experience with ECU (Electronic Control Unit) programming, flashing, and reprogramming techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Red X).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing controls and automation systems (PLC programming, HMI development is a plus).
  • Familiarity with quality control standards (e.g., ISO/TS, IATF 16949) and process improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with aggressive timelines.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally as needed to support manufacturing sites or suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience with specific EV truck platforms or high-voltage battery systems.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, EPLAN) for reviewing electrical schematics and layouts.
  • Experience in the design and development of automated test equipment.
