In this position, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the electrification of flight.  Our Sub-Assembly Manufacturing Team is in need of an electronics engineer with knowledge about in-box-build electronics, ESD requirements, design of testing equipment and associated software, and PCBAs.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • Develop the assembly process for building and testing Flight Control Computers, and associated avionic equipment.
  • Write Standard Work Instructions for the building and testing of electronic subsystems.
  • Develop requirements and build out an ESD-compliant electronics area.
  • Support the production team by designing and implementing fixtures, tooling aids, and test automation.
  • Work closely with the Product Development Team to translate critical requirements and specifications into good manufacturing practices.
  • Participate in design reviews, process reviews, and PFMEAs for existing and new products.
  • Source, purchase, and install necessary equipment to support manufacturing of control computers, inverters, PCBA box builds, and High/Low voltage equipment.
  • Minimum Qualifications We are seeking:

  • Strong knowledge and experience in ESD safety standards for personnel, equipment, environment, and tooling.
  • Ability to troubleshoot circuits/wiring / and/or electronic hardware.
  • Experience in working with PCBA and Box builds for low and high-voltage systems.
  • Strong electrical understanding and experience.
  • Experience in developing test equipment including software and hardware design.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering / or BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years experience in related fields.
  • Slack, Google G -Suite including drive, mail, calendar, docs, sheets, etc.
  • Self-starter that is well organized and a good communicator
  • Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:

  • Software coding skills (Python, C++, Matlab)
  • 3D CAD skills.
  • Experienced working in Mil-spec or Aerospace industries.
  • Strong electrical understanding and experience.
  • Experience in developing test equipment including software and hardware design.
  • Enthusiastic about aviation!
