The Role:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing production efficiency, and ensuring high product quality. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and improve systems, equipment, and workflows within a manufacturing facility. A key focus of the role is leveraging data-driven insights from tools like Redzone and Power BI to create and maintain operational standards. The Manufacturing Engineer will also focus on reducing waste, increasing productivity, and maintaining compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities: 

  • Process Optimization: Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs.
  • Data-Driven Improvements: Utilize Redzone and Power BI to gather, monitor, and analyze production data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Standards Creation: Develop and implement manufacturing standards based on data analysis and production insights, ensuring best practices are followed consistently across the production line.
  • Design and Development: Work with the design team to develop new systems or improve existing manufacturing equipment, tools, and processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma or Kaizen to streamline operations.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage projects to introduce new processes, technologies, or equipment into the manufacturing process.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure products meet required standards and troubleshoot issues related to quality and performance.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Partner with maintenance teams to ensure that manufacturing equipment is properly maintained and operational.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production, design, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analyses to determine the viability of projects and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, process documentation, and work instructions for manufacturing processes.

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in Redzone and Power BI for data analysis, performance monitoring, and process improvement.
    • Experience in CAD/CAM software, manufacturing simulation software, and knowledge of automation systems.
    • Proven ability to develop and implement standards based on data analytics and performance metrics.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues in the production process.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Project Management: Experience managing projects from concept through implementation.
  • Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail, especially in identifying inefficiencies or quality control issues.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing data analytics tools.
  • Experience in an automated or highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Compensation:  
The base salary range for this role is $74,000 - $93,000 annually, which is just one aspect of our total compensation package. In addition to the salary, this position is eligible for a potential annual bonus and equity! Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
