Role Description
We are looking for an experienced manager in the field of test and development to help us develop our core technology by joining our growing battery and system test team.  You will lead the development and continuous improvement of test processes and procedures, identifying and setting realistic timelines, setting performance metrics across the team, and managing associate managers, engineers and technicians against their deliverables. You will also create team metrics for the testing operations, and help communicate the results at all levels of the company. You will work closely with the technology development and technical operations teams to help translate simple or complex battery test protocol information into test schedules, identifying gaps in processes, equipment and capabilities, and help define solutions to resolve these.

What You'll Do:

  • Participate in cross functional efforts with Technology Development teams to identify requirements for test and validation in line with the Form Energy program plan
  • Define what test processes and scripts are required to deliver test protocols, and provide technical direction to deliver these in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with Data Engineering team to understand and lead opportunities to enable seamless data analysis and data entry 
  • Interacts with other engineering groups to lead the definition, documentation, investigation, execution, and post test analysis of tests at component and system levels
  • Lead efforts to track performance of weekly metrics and present data based on statistical analysis tools that identify performance and/or test stand variability
  • What You'll Bring:

  • 5+  years of experience in an engineering / technology test and validation environment and 2 years leadership experience
  • Familiarity with test and validation hardware and test methods such as environmental, electrical reliability and stress, vibration testing etc.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and/or MATLab
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and using tools such as Minitab or JMP 
  • Laboratory safety and operation knowledge
  • Experience with lean techniques such as Six Sigma
  • Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization
