Role Description
We are looking for a Facilities Manager to manage lab and office expansion and operations in the Boston Area. Reporting to our Senior Manager of Site Operations, you will be responsible for making sure our facility and warehouse operations run smoothly. You will manage a team handling day-to-day issues, and will work closely with all members of Form Energy to provide a great and safe place to work. This is an exciting opportunity to manage complex projects and guide a team that will help shape the growth of a fast-moving technology start-up with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission.

What you'll do:

  • Manage a team and oversee the facilities, warehouse, shipping & receiving and workplace management departments
  • Work closely with technical teams, contractors and other stakeholders to develop facilities that meet our expanding technical and laboratory needs and to deliver equipment to meet infrastructure requirements
  • Manage or assist with capital construction projects. Familiar with city planning departments, general building codes, zoning and permitting processes
  • Manage relationships with established vendors for ongoing and new work to ensure smooth day-to-day operation of our facility. Deal with various landlords for building matters
  • Lead new equipment and services installations in all MA buildings, managing contractors and other parties to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of the new processes. Engage new vendors for services needed onsite
  • Support the execution and improvement of Form Energy's safety program
  • What you'll bring:

  • Experience managing and delivering complex facilities projects  
  • Demonstrated ability to work across the business to define, prioritize and deliver requests from technical and engineering teams
  • Knowledge of facilities operations and management practices
  • Strong project management and cross functional  communication skills; ability to prioritize and track multiple projects to completion
  • Experience in lab or engineering environment
  • Knowledge of MA building codes and environmental requirements
