We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to join our Finance team! Your role will include the co-ordination and preparation of the monthly management accounts, reporting on variances as required and providing commercial insight. You will be working closely with the business to assist with day-to-day finance management and identifying any commercial risks or opportunities to improve the business’ position.

Please note: this role is a fixed term contract for 3 months with a start date in September 2024.

What you'll do

Monthly management reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations, preparing accruals

Preparing monthly divisional reports and liaising with finance representatives to finalise results

Reviewing VAT returns, loan schedules and prepayments

Analyse monthly results for senior management and be able to explain any unexpected results.

Review and reconcile intercompany balances

Managing creditor and debtor ledgers and dealing with any queries regarding payments or receipts

Ensuring that reporting is compliant with all relevant accounting standards and keeping up to date with new reporting standards that may impact the company

Reviewing finance processes in each entity to ensure that improvements are made continuously to help the businesses run more efficiently.

Assisting department heads with day to day finance management of the business

Assisting with system implementation projects

What you'll need

Qualified Chartered Accountant e.g. ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent (essential)

A degree in accounting, finance or equivalent, and relevant finance or accounting experience

Knowledge of FRS102 and IFRS accounting standards

Strong IT skills including advanced excel skills (including Pivot tables, advanced formulas, and macros)

Must be able to effectively communicate and present to senior management

Demonstrate ability to liaise with stakeholders and external parties confidently

Organised and self-motivated, able to multi-task and prioritise to meet deadlines

Numerate with a high focus on accuracy and attention to detail

Experience working in Netsuite would be preferable
