Lucid is seeking an individual to for our Maintenance Planner opening in our Body In White department.

You Will:

  • Establish a process to review information to create functional locations (confirm that the procedure/format is consistent with the other maintenance shops).
  • Establish a process to assign equipment, equipment types, classes and all pertinent information for the equipment, to the master data base (CMMS).
  • Create format for spare parts and BOM in equipment list (possible group activity for consistency).
  • Build PM related training modules for maintenance team members to ensure that all team members can perform the required functions applicable to their job description (CMMS data entry, etc.).
  • Coordinate work schedules for maintenance team members related to all work orders. This includes scheduling of between shift, weekend and/or shutdown work.
  • Coordinate Parts list for larger maintenance tasks and projects for planning and procurement purposes.
  • Review work orders for PM systems to insure balance in workload and manpower availability – weekly/monthly/etc.
  • Review PM Work Order timelines regularly (TBD – Weekly or Monthly) to create a more accurate capacity planning format.
  • Create and monitor PM schedules to ensure BIW assigned equipment is maintained at the highest level of efficiency (PdM).
  • Coordinate Task List Creation for new equipment (using OEM information and maint. feedback as a format). Review all equipment lists for accuracy and/or obsolesce.
  • Continuous review and updates to PM task list to address problem solving countermeasures (with help from Maint. Team & Maint. Engineers).
  • Create reports on equipment failures to assist in scheduling teardowns and/or rebuilds to be performed during major shutdowns.
  • Coordinate between production and maintenance regarding required equipment/machine shutdowns. Appropriate timing can be decided, and production can adjust their schedules/plans accordingly.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance shop supervisor of planner to ensure that all required parts, manpower, outsourcing, etc. has been acquired to achieve optimum workflow for the maintenance tasks planned.
  • Review reports with maintenance and engineering that show regular failures of equipment, machines or parts/components indicating a possible need for failure analysis, rebuild, redesign or replacement.
  • Help with data collection for equipment uptime/downtime, causes and countermeasures, 100% captured and entered in the CMMS system.
  • Help determine priorities for specific areas of improvement; reducing unplanned downtime, reducing operating costs, reason codes for skipped work orders, open breakdown reports, etc.
  • Schedule and facilitate weekly maintenance / engineering meetings.
  • Perform CMMS training (after train the trainer) for T/M’s to improve overall CMMS system use and functionality.
  • Improve “Wrench Time” by studying time to access equipment, materials and documentation needed for repairs.
  • Advanced planning and scheduling for equipment improvements during extended nonproduction times (Shutdowns, Projects, etc.).
  • Help with Materials Budget adherence by using BOM for repair/spare parts accuracy.
  • Eliminate waste by improving planning and scheduling activities.
  • Analyze planned work to ensure all resources are fully utilized.
  • Review maintenance tasks to determine if they are effective.
  • Coordinate that all parts, tools, documents, etc. are available to improve TM repair times.
  • You Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 year technical trade degree
  • 5 years minimum  relevant experience in Maintenance Operations  with Management skills
  • 2+ year’s experience in project management, understanding the definition and/or deployment of business solutions, including demonstrated leadership skills.
