What to expect
Reporting to the Aircraft Maintenance Controller, we are looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Planner to join our aircraft build & maintenance team here at Vertical. The role will be responsible for planning of mx work packs for multiple prototype & certification aircraft in liaison with the flight test delivery team.
In addition, the role includes responsibility for tracking and upkeep of continued airworthiness records
The candidate is required on site every day at Verticals flight test facility at Cotswold Airport, near Cirencester in the Cotswolds.
The candidate will also be part of the maintenance capability development for our certification aircraft programme.
What you'll do
Liaise with Flight Test & Mx Team
Assist in generating aircraft day-to-day Mx plan for scheduled & unscheduled work.
Create work packs including all asset tracking cards for hardware & software
Assist with day-to-day aircraft config management.
Assist in management of logbooks/cards.
Update of Continued Airworthiness Documentation such as: Technical & Flight Log records, Mx work pack documentation, Serialised part tracking
Assist documentation issue audit/resolution.
Support generation and update of AMM entries as required
Escalate problems / issues to Airworthiness and HoD if unresolvable at team level.
What you'll bring
Experience in Aircraft Maintenance Planning or Tech Records roles.
Accredited aerospace engineering qualification would be beneficial but not essential.
Experience in aircraft maintenance or overhaul environments would be beneficial but not essential.
Full UK driving licence.
Extensive experience as a Technical Publications Administrator, Aircraft Maintenance Planner, Technical Records Co-ordinator or similar in an aircraft maintenance organisation.
Good IT skills and be proficient in an AMO documentation tracking software as well as Microsoft Office package.
Good attention to detail and can operate to challenging deadlines without compromising standards or quality.
A flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities and always willing to lend a hand where needed throughout the business and across different teams.
Excellent working knowledge of aircraft maintenance including use of documentation, manuals, and engineering drawings.
Would benefit from exhibiting leadership abilities and programme management knowledge but not essential.
