Lucid Motors is looking for a detailed, experienced, Maintenance Engineer, Powertrain. The right candidate will be organized and driven, with excellent Project management experience and Robotic and controls skills. You will be responsible for developing the equipment maintenance plan (EMP) for new manufacturing equipment. This is a unique opportunity to work with a great team to build a world class vehicle.

You Will

  • Develop maintenance operating discipline.
  • Responsible for developing the equipment maintenance plan (EMP) for new manufacturing equipment: Research vendor/OEM manufacturing equipment recommendation, execute data analysis on asset, and facilitate cross-functional SME team meetings, and validate EMP
  • Responsible for developing PM and PdM procedures and frequency of implementation.
  • Develop standard Maintenance Procedure and validation system.
  • Participate in developing the maintenance budget to support the maintenance strategy.
  • Identify and standardize on critical spare parts.
  • Provide equipment reliability and performance data to the technical resource networks for input into equipment purchasing requirements, evaluation of equipment performance, vendor performance, and modifications to Most Effective Technology (MET).
  • Recommends and implements improvements and modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters.
  • Coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
  • Evaluate new technologies, such as predictive tools, to be used by technicians and engineers.
  • Support Industrial Hygiene and other EH&S work process activities. Incorporate safety considerations in planning and maintenance implementation. Understand impact of process chemistry with respect to materials of construction or lubrication.
  • You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • 5-7 years of engineering / maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant environment preferably EV Powertrain manufacturing equipment. 
  • 2+ years’ experience in Automotive Manufacturing or closely related field.
  • Robotic and controls skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Proficient in using a CMMS database
  • Open minded, highly flexible, positive attitude.
  • Good overall people management skills.
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written
