Join the Loads and Dynamics Team based in Bristol as a Loads and Aeroelastics Engineer and help us to achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation.
What success will look like for you, as a Loads and Aeroelastics Engineer?
As a Loads and Aeroelastic Engineer, you will be responsible for the evaluation of the aircraft loads and its aeroelastic stability, and for the optimisation of the aircraft aereoservoelastic response. Your expertise will contribute to the design, development, and certification of our aircraft, ensuring its safety, reliability, and performance.
You will be working closely with a variety of engineering teams and play a crucial role in providing the necessary expertise to deliver the aircraft loads, assess the structure’s dynamic stability and support the certification process.
You will report directly to Loads and Dynamics IPT Lead and will be a key member of the Loads and Dynamics team, supporting the continued development f our in-house expertise, specialist knowledge and capability.
What would we like you to bring.
We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this, you will need to have proven experience using Nastran for loads and aeroelastic computations along with Multibody Dynamics codes and scripting languages (Python/MATLAB).
Additionally, you will need good skills / knowledge of optimisation toolsets and methods as well as the ability to apply your knowledge to small vehicles of novel design and operations characteristics. Ideally you will have gained this experience from either Aerospace or Automotive sectors. It is also desirable for you to have a Master’s degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or other relevant discipline.
