Lucid Motors is building our Battery team in Shanghai! 
 
As a Lead Test Engineer of the High Voltage Battery team at Lucid Motors you will lead the efforts for testing to be performed on Lucid high voltage batteries, local to China. The High Voltage Battery team is responsible for the design, validation, and integration of the HV battery and other high voltage systems components. The Lead Test Engineer will coordinate and lead the team to ensure these systems meet the Lucid Motors’ safety and durability standards when subject to electrical, mechanical, thermal, and other environmental stresses, relevant to Chinese standards.

You will

  • Be the primary point of contact for all High Voltage Battery testing in China.
  • Drive the High Voltage Battery homologation testing in China.
  • Coordinate with team members to assign projects and responsibilities to ensure timely execution.
  • Provide direction and technical guidance to the testing team about matters related to testing and certification in China.
  • Grow the testing team to meet company goals and objectives.
  •  Work alongside the Sr. Engineering Manager and other management to develop the testing facility by taking the lead in the specification, and justification of new testing equipment where needed.
  • Provide input on strategic initiatives related to growth in regions outside of the US.
  • Contribute to battery safety initiatives to drive safety into the product.
