Summary: 

As our HR Business Partner, you will uphold Rivian’s purpose and values while enabling our CFO organization to do the best work of their lives. You will primarily partner with our high performing Facilities team as they deliver on their purpose to materialize amazing, physical, non-product brand interactions across five departments: Real Estate, Design, Construction, Operations and Security. These talented teams find, design, build and maintain every physical location that Rivian has globally from our workplaces and labs to our manufacturing sites, to where we service our customers and vehicles while balancing speed, scale, and agility as stewards of Rivian’s capital.

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with the facilities leadership team to deliver on and operationalize their strategic priorities by bringing thought leadership on talent and culture
  • Develop a deep understanding of the facilities' program strategies, goals, and people to operate as an embedded partner to respective vertical and program leadership teams
  • Build facilities domain knowledge across verticals (Real Estate, Design, Construction, Operations and Security) to conduct needs analysis and partner with L&D and facilities leaders to create and launch a learning and career pathing roadmap focused on increasing density of high performing and values driven talent
  • Act as a catalyst for the organization’s horizontal program structure, emboldening clear ownership and responsibility though job architecture while working with program directors to develop and build a bench of project owners and future leaders
  • Coach leaders at all levels on broadening their own capability while building and leading high performing teams. Focus on holding up the mirror to leaders with the goal of enabling an environment of curiosity, trust, healthy conflict, direct feedback, open debate/communication, and data driven decision making.
  • Drive employee engagement action planning at the program and functional levels, while enabling an amazing employee experience including owning complex employee relations issues, supporting hiring, performance resets, stay interviews, and offboarding
  • Support Rivian people programs: promotions, talent reviews, workforce planning (working with recruiting on staffing and HC plans), compensation review, hiring, and org design efforts
  • Facilitate listening sessions that foster a culture of belonging by creating an environment of curiosity and understanding that draws out diverse perspectives and uncovers root causes that undermine team effectiveness
  • Deliver experiential workshops (such as DiSC, how to deliver feedback, navigating conflict, emotional intelligence) and co-create offsites to invest in teambuilding and cross-functional collaboration
  • Work on cross-functional people projects as needed including but not limited to projects related to HR transformation, shaping and operationalizing a new performance management approach, supporting broader G&A people partner activities, delivering on org design and workforce planning efforts, etc.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Four (4) year college or university degree or equivalent in Human Resources, I/O Psychology, or Business Management or equivalent experience which may include a background in several of the following areas: organizational design, workforce planning, leadership development, inclusion & belonging and change management
  • 7+ years of HR Business Partner experience with 2+ years ideally in a high growth environment
