Responsibilities:
- Manage vehicle test fleet in Europe and ensure vehicle uptime
- Main Point of Contact for Test and Development in Europe
- Support test trips from all development teams taking place in Europe
- Execute and monitor vehicle and component level tests
- Assist in the development of mule test planning, high level timing plans, data analysis, control system data collection and some calibration
- Execution and documentation of specific portions of the vehicle and component DVP&R using the Jira, Jama, and proprietary tool sets
- Diagnose Vehicle Software issues (Reading DTCs, CAN signal analysis, ECU interface knowledge)
- Diagnose vehicle electrical and hardware issues
- Provide direction to technicians performing vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Instrumentation of test articles including thermocouples (Type J and K), strain gauges, accelerometers, and load transducers
- Create test documentation including test instructions, specifications, drawings and verification plans
- Creating standard procedures and tools for vehicle maintenance operations (Sensor Calibrations, Evac & Fill, Software configurations)
Qualifications:
- Ability to collect and analyze vehicle data
- Experience with CAN analysis tools such as Vector CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, etc.
- Experience flashing ECUs, using Vector V-Flash or proprietary tools
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, interact with CAD software
- Familiarity with Systems Integration: network architecture diagram, Systems Engineering , Basic understanding of vehicle performance
- Basic understanding of automotive functional safety (ISO26262)
- Experience driving prototype vehicles (Previous vehicle limit driving experience and certification is a plus)
- Experience subjectively evaluating a prototype vehicle dynamically and statically for functionality
- Experience with any of the following is a bonus: JAMA/JIRA/Confluence, GIT, Python/C (or some programming experience), Unix/Linux, ECU Calibration (Vector CANape, INCA)
- Experience with EU Regulatory requirements, Homologation testing, and Certification is a plus
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar field
