ARRIVAL Controls Team is responsible for flexible assembly process and operations deployment on the next-generation factories, integration of internally developed software with industrial hardware (as real as virtual), system validation and assembly process verification.

Now we are looking for a Lead Controls Integration Engineer who will be responsible for robotics cells' planning, controls architecture design, leading the delivery of electrical design engineering, software design and robotic software with ARRIVAL components, automatic equipment integration and controls standards development.

* Our factories in the UK are located in Bicester and Banbury.

Responsibilities:

  • Software design, implementation and testing of the PLC communication with industrial robots, tools, sensors and mobile robots;
  • PLC verification and integration with ARRIVAL software;
  • Creating requirements for third-party integrators;
  • Leading projects and coordination with external suppliers from Automation and Controls Design side;
  • Coordination of industrial equipment integration on site;
  • Automatic building/deployment/update/versioning of automation software in assembly robotic cells;
  • Development and simulation of operations and automatic assembly scenarios;
  • Defining Controls Standards for hardware and software;
  • Commissioning of systems and componentsLaunching production at various sites inside and outside of the UK;
  • Testing and integration of assembly scenarios in factories*
  • Expertise:

  • Experience with launching and coordination of Automation and Controls Design projects;
  • 5+ years experience with on of the following areas: PLC software design (Allen-Bradley), Hardware design (E-plan) or Robotic programming;
  • Bachelor degree (or higher) in mechatronics/automation/robotics/electronics;
  • Experience with industrial automation software: Rockwell Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, Kuka WorkVisual;
  • Experience with industrial manipulators configuration (Kuka);
  • Understanding of production process planning, design, installation and commissioning up to new product launch and ramp up within Automotive;
  • Understanding of network protocols principles (Ethernet/IP, IO-Link), Electrical and pneumatic drawings and Machinery safety equipment
  • AutoCad basic knowledge.
  • Desirable:

  • Knowledge of safety standards for automotive industry;
  • Experience with Siemens Process Simulate, Plant SimMultithread programming understanding;
  • Experience with EPLANExperience with Vision systemsBasic knowledge of C++, Python, scripting languages;
  • Basic knowledge of digital electronics;
  • Real new product introduction and production shop-floor experience;
  • Mechanical design experience;
  • Experience with working in a fast changing environment;
  • Knowledge of Agile practices
