Role Description
We are looking for a highly driven BIM-VDC engineer to lead the BIM planning and execution for our first-in-kind battery factory and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity to start from a blank slate and establish the digital twin of our FormFactory, integrating both infrastructure and manufacturing equipment needed to achieve the most advanced high-volume battery manufacturing in the world.

What You'll Do:
Lead the BIM discipline and own the digital delivery of the FormFactory including infrastructure, utilities, and manufacturing equipmentEstablish the organizational setup and way of working to enable the cross functional teams to be effectively coordinated from conceptual, detailed design, construction and hand overOrchester the factory federated model (Digital Twin) Build automation tools to increase efficiency of the engineering disciplinesCoordinate the model produced by the Design Team, Trade Contractors, and other third-party vendors under their directionResponsible for clash-detection evaluation of design model vs construction/manufacturing models to verity constructabilityLeading 3D modeling within design coordination and design review meetingsDevelop and maintain Technology Standards & Processes – particularly as they relate to CAD tools, Drawing & Document management protocols. Investigate new software and technology to improve design deliverables, reduce cost and drive efficiency.Support construction tracking through BIMWhat You'll Bring:
8+ years of BIM/VDC engineering & construction experience in large commercial and large industrial infrastructure (e.g., high volume manufacturing, data centers, hospitals, dense MEP environments etc.)Architectural, structural, MEP knowledge and construction detailing & coordination experienceExpert knowledge with Revit, BIM 360, AutoCAD, Navisworks, all Autodesk software and reality capture applicationsExperience managing drawing sets and templates for construction deliverablesExperience with coding, visual programming (C#, Python, Dynamo), and database integrations are preferredExperience interfacing with construction and cost control on quantity takeoffs and alignment between Work Breakdown Structure based cost tracking using BIM parameterExceptional drive, sense of ownership and resourcefulnessBachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
