About this job

The Laboratory Technician II, Cell Line Characterization will be responsible for maintaining continuous, active cultures of multiple production-oriented cell lines. This laboratory-based position requires handling cell cultures aseptically and interfacing with other lab teams on a daily basis, from cell culture media to process development, and even the data team! Your work will be the foundation for the success of multiple teams here at UPSIDE. You should be disciplined, enthusiastic, and able to work with a team to reach a common goal.

Responsibilities include...

• Cell culture techniques including routine cell maintenance and growth
• Proficient and organized data collection
• Troubleshooting unexpected results
• Communicating regularly with upstream and downstream teammates to transfer cells and data
• Performing routine cell characterization studies in accordance with ROPs
• Occasional media preparation and lab organization duties

About you...

• AS, certificate, or experience in cell biology, bioengineering, or closely related science
• Experience with basic mammalian cell culture techniques highly preferred
• Fosters a team environment by collaborating scientifically with team members 
• Ability to produce quality work in a fast paced team environment, meeting deadlines
• Takes initiative to flag unexpected results and optimize processes
