Reports To

Manager, IT Support

What You Will Be Doing

  • You will have primary responsibility for end user tech support in our Mexico office.
  • You will be using our global ticketing system, which allows techs in any location worldwide to work on any ticket worldwide.
  • You will have primary responsibility for determining needed equipment purchases, and for communicating those to management in the US.
  • You will have primary responsibility for receipt of ordered equipment, storing it securely (in our office) until needed, and deploying it as needed.
  • You will provide primary tech support, remotely, to our employees who work onsite at Mexican contract manufacturers, or who work at other remote locations, including their homes.
  • Perform on-site & remote analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of sometimes complex system problems for end users. Recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair or onsite warranty repair as needed.
  • Collaborate with the IT Operations team members to ensure efficient operation of the organization's computing environment.
  • Where required, administer and resolve issues with associated end-user
    workstations and networking issues.
  • Receive and respond to incoming service requests regarding system problems.
  • If necessary, coordinate with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.
  • Set up and administration of new hire & onboarding such as new system deployments, desk set ups, and new user account creations for respective applications.
  • Receive and respond to incoming service requests.
  • Create and maintain appropriate system and environment documentation for use by other technical personnel and by your user community.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • 3 or more years experience in IT Technical Support or similar.
  • Commitment to customer service and IT support.
  • Confidence in making decisions and driving issues to resolution.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to accurately convey messages clearly in both Mexican Spanish and English, both verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to work efficiently and productively with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work effectively remotely or in the office.
  • Ability to follow and create documentation
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Experience with SaaS applications, for both IT administration and end user productivity.
  • Experience with O365, Okta, antivirus and backup applications.

Education and Certifications.

Demonstrated proficiency and capability are critical.  No particular educational requirements exist.  A college degree or vocational certifications are helpful but not required.
