Reports To

Senior IT Manager

What You Will Be Doing

  • Managing local support and equipment deployments to ChargePoint staffers in Europe. This includes managing relationships with vendors and service providers, and being in direct contact with our user community.
  • Working with vendors to get the right systems delivered to the right new hires at the right time. Most of our European staff works remotely.
  • You will report into ChargePoint IT in the US rather than to local management. As part of this you will be the face of IT to our European management and other coworkers.
  • You will be the person primarily responsible for doing onsite tech support for our staff in our main Amsterdam office, and remote tech support for other European offices and remote users.
  • You will use our global ticketing system, which will allow techs in other regions to help with tickets arising in Europe, and you will be able to help with tickets in other regions.
  • If additional staff is needed, you will be key in the selection of European IT Support staff, and will be responsible for their day to day management.
  • Remote candidates will be considered, provided you can be onsite at our main Amsterdam office when needed.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • Experience purchasing, deploying, and supporting Macs and Dell laptops.
  • Familiarity with O365, including Office, Exchange, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with SaaS applications, both for IT admin (Okta, Jira, Druva, etc.) and end user productivity.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Meraki networking hardware is preferred but not required.
  • Commitment to customer service and IT support.
  • Three to five years of experience in IT support.
  • Experience as an IT Support Manager is preferred but not required.
  • A bias for action, and the ability to remain calm under sometimes stressful conditions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in other European languages is a plus. 
  • Ability to follow and create documentation suitable for use by other technical personnel or by your user community at large.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Certifications

Demonstrated proficiency and capability are critical. 

Microsoft Administration Certification in SharePoint or similar

A college degree or vocational certifications are helpful but not required.
