Position: IT Security Specialists

Location:  Remote (US) 

Pivot Bio is looking for an IT Security Specialist that has pivoted from an IT engineer into security role.  Specifically, a person that can lead our IT Security direction, manage the security tools, and can fall back on that IT Engineer experience to work with the IT infrastructure team to resolve incidents.  In this role, you will have the opportunity guide and create many of the IT policies and compliance plans.  Working directly with the IT Infrastructure and Applications teams to make sure that security best practices are followed and adhered to.

Responsibilities: 

• Function as Pivot Bio’s lead IT Security Specialist, guiding the direction of security. 
• Liaison with 3rd party MDR vendor to manage their findings and reporting. Working with IT Infrastructure team to resolve security issues reported. 
• Conduct research to identify attack vectors against Pivot Bio’s. 
• Administration of Security tools keeping Pivot Bio devices, users, and data secure. 
• Create a framework for reporting on security related issues and metrics. 
• Develop technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities. 
• Advocate security and secure practices throughout Pivot Bio. Working with HR to oversee staff security awareness training. 
• Participate in the creation of Pivot Bio IT policy and compliance. 
• Following the incident resolution, revisit the issue and determine the cause to find any enchantments that can be made to our environment or automation to prevent repeat incidents. 

Qualifications and Experience: 

• 4+ years of experience in IT Security  
• Cybersecurity certification (CISSP, GSEC, CISA, Security+, or CEH) 
• Experience with SentinelOne Singularity Complete 
• Experience with SIEM tools like Arctic Wolf, Log Rhythm, or Alert Logic 
• Experience with identity management tools like Google Workspace, Azure AD, or OneLogin 
• Experience with KnowBe4 
• Experience with IT infrastructure like Meraki, EC2, DNS, MDM tools 
• Empathic skills for handling user challenges with digital tools 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Well-organized and strong attention to detail
