The Role:

  • Operate as a technical expert on infrastructure projects pertaining to Network infrastructure
  • Perform IT architecture and design activities
  • Continually analyze and work to improve quality of services offered by IT.
  • Participate in ongoing technology evaluations and keep up with technology trends and industry standards.
  • Suggest improvements based on technology, best practices, or changing requirements.
  • Provide regular management updates on advantages and potential opportunities for new technologies and automation.
  • Train/Mentor junior staff members as appropriate.
  • Qualifications:

  • Experience in Datacenter and remote office IT hosting environment design and implementations in a globally distributed environment
  • Should have designed and implemented systems and service hosting solutions for distributed environments, including Windows and Linux, across a hypervisor platforms like VMware and Hyper-V
  • Should have designed and implemented large Enterprise service deployments for back office services such as DNS/DHCP, AD, Azure AD, MFA, File services, Printing services, Email services across multiple domains, Office 365, etc..
  • Should have excellent skills in preparing infrastructure design documents based on Visio
  • Should have experience and awareness of systems security practices, data protection, such as host configurations, patch and configuration management methodologies
  • Have a high degree of competency in technical areas: DNS, DHCP, MS AD, shell scripting, PowerShell (or other automation and scripting platforms), VMWare, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Linux, Storage, Backups, application deployment in high available scenarios
  • Have a high degree of competency in application performance investigation

  • Advantageous:
  • AWS, Azure and Kubernetes experience a plus
  • Scripting language and platform experience, such as python, shell, PowerShell, with platforms such as ansible
  • Education Requirements:

  • BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or similar is preferred
