Primary Responsibilities:
Support monthly accounting activities including the preparation of monthly journal entries, related account reconciliations and reporting for all GL related accountsParticipates in the execution of inventory verification procedures (physical count, adjustments) for all company managed and owned locations.Support recording, reporting and reconciling manufacturing cost and price variancesMonitoring and tracking of offsite inventory balances and sales activities and work with teams to develop a solution for tracking inventory and continuous improvement cycleFacilitate operating team alignment and decision making; presenting data in cohesive reports that provide clear communication and recommendations.Develop and produce various monthly/quarterly/annual reports that account for the company’s investment in inventoryEvaluate reasonableness and calculation of established inventory reservesInvestigate and provide guidance/resolution of reconciling itemsParticipates in development of systems, processes and projects related to inventoryFollow and maintain internal controls to safeguard company’s assets and ensure transactions are executed in accordance with company guidelinesQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldIn depth knowledge of US GAAPStrong attention to detailExcellent analytical and problem-solving skill with the ability to process data from multiple sources and build models from the ground upAbility to manage multiple complex projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and where professional judgement is required in problem solving, making recommendations and accountability for resultsMinimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in inventory management accounting in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotiveExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to interact with various business partner relationships and management levelsExperience with SAP S4/Hana, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skillsComfortable in a rapidly changing environment
