Internal Audit Manager

We are looking for an Internal Audit Manager who will:

The responsibilities and duties of the Internal Audit Manager will be as follows:

• Partnering with the extended leadership team to understand business risks and prepare an audit plan aligned with ExCom and approved by the Audit Committee
• Accurately scope detailed risk and controls for each audit based on internal management views and external best practice
• Execute end to end audits of business risks to understand the control environment and identify improvement opportunities
• Present findings to business owners and agreeing an action plan to address improvement opportunities before presenting to ExCom and the Audit Committee on a quarterly basis
• Governance of action resolution within the agreed timetable
• Example audits in the first year are expected to include SOX Operational Effectiveness (Month end, Payroll, IT systems, P2P, Cash Management), Product Lifecycle Management (aircraft design control and change management), Goods In (stock control) and Quality Controls (parts and build)

The successful Internal Audit Manager will have the following Experiences & Qualifications:

• End to end business understanding across physical product design and build, alongside enabling process (SCM, HR, Finance, IT). Experience in R&D and manufacturing an advantage.
• An ability to build relationships across the business at all levels
• A quick learner who can quickly comprehend new processes and concepts outside their comfort zone
• The confidence and assurance to manage stakeholders with multiple fast-moving priorities and little time
• A natural ability to switch from high level strategic thinking to operational execution
• A willingness to get into the detail and do what needs to be done, when it is needed
• A desire to work with pace in a rapidly changing, hugely entrepreneurial environment

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience of working in a high growth / scale-up
• Aerospace/manufacturing experience
